Grantimal was founded to solve a simple problem: Innovate UK audits surface the same issues again and again, and most are fixable months before the auditors arrive.
We come from a leading grant-audit background — including time at BDO, where we ran end-of-project & interim audits for Innovate UK recipients across the UK. That seat gave us a clear view of what goes wrong, why, and how to put it right.
The pattern is consistent: companies focus on delivery, audit prep is left until the final claim, and the same handful of issues — timesheets, apportionment, evidence chains — show up in finding after finding. By then, fixing them is expensive.
